Patient Testimonials

"A couple of years ago, in a night of pain and self-pity, I cried on the phone to my sister, "Everything I love to do is being taken away from me!" Years of long-distance cycling and running had taken a toll on both of my knees. At that point, I was finding it hard to even swim (one of my favorite activities) due to knee pain. Then, in January of 2012, I fell down hard on my left knee, fracturing my knee cap and tearing up my cartilage even more. In April of 2012, Dr. McKenna operated on my knee and I followed up with physical therapy at Premier Bone and Joint Centers. By June, I was back at my summer lifeguard job, swimming hard, and walking all over the city of Milwaukee (my summer home). Now, I am happily taking dance class again, walking pain-free, swimming easily, and even horseback-riding. In dance class, I'm amazed by how deeply I can bend, how quickly I can jump up from the floor, and how much fun I'm having without worrying about knee pain and damage. I am grateful for the care I received at Premier Bone and Joint Centers; but, even more than that, I appreciate how my doctor and therapists took my lifestyle into consideration when developing and implementing a treatment plan for me. I feel better than I have in the last five years." -- Terry B.
